As a Cincinnati personal injury lawyer I often ask people how they found me. Some will say a former client, some will say a lawyer, others will say on the internet. One of the things I ask after that is what they searched for. One person told be they searched for best Cincinnati personal injury lawyer and my name popped up.
No lawyer should make that representation since its not ethically appropriate as it is not a fact readily verifiable. In fact there are plenty of lawyers I admire that I think are great. They have great ability and their court room skills are wonderful. In fact, although I have tried over 25 jury trials, there have been times when the case was so unusual or involved so many defendants that it was prudent to assemble a team of lawyers to do battle with the brigade of lawyers the insurance company would throw at the case.
What I have never asked a potential client though, is did you find me on Google, yahoo or Bing or another search engine. As most know the majority of searches are on Google .
